    SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW IN TRAUMA (StRH LEVEL)

    Applications are invited for the above post commencing from November 2025 until 4 August 2026

    This post is particularly suitable for Post FRCS (Orth) trainees interested in gaining focussed training in Orthopaedic-Trauma. Independent Operating sessions will be available along with supervised sessions with 16 consultant Surgeons taking part in Trauma service.

    This post is not recognised for training by the Royal College of Surgeons.

    We are a teaching health board with close links to Cardiff University. The University boasts a high profile teaching, research and development role within the UK and abroad. Together we are training the next generation of medical professionals.

    References will be required to cover a minimum of three years of previous employment and/or training

    A Disclosure Check will be required of the successful candidate

    The successful candidates will be based at the University Hospital of Wales and will undertake dedicated research sessions in trauma. They will be also expected to provide middle grade cover for clinical sessions and be on call for trauma along with the specialist trainees (day time only). Trauma services are provided at the University Hospital of Wales with a dedicated trauma theatre. The University Hospital of Wales is a busy trauma centre and provides tertiary referral service for spinal trauma, pelvic and acetabular trauma and complex limb trauma.
