Description

We are seeking an innovative, child focused and strengths-based support practitioner to be part of our highly successful and committed Targeted Intervention Service.

As a Child and Family Support Practitioner, you will co-ordinate and deliver interventions for children, young people and their families who have been assessed as needing a service following an early help or child in need (Section 17 Children Act 89) assessment.

You will have the opportunity to deliver strengths-based support either through co-working with a social worker or case holding at an early help level of need.

This may include children who are, deemed to be on the 'edge of care' or supported within a statutory child protection process.

As a Targeted Intervention Service, it is our aim to ensure that children and families, often with complex and varying needs, receive the right help at the right time as part of a multi-agency team of support, underpinned by relationship-based practice.

If you are a creative, innovative practitioner with a passion for supporting children and families, to motivate, engage and empower those you work alongside, then we'd love to hear from you.

The Council is highly committed to investing in the talent and wellbeing of our staff and can offer a generous annual leave allowance, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, comprehensive Health & Wellbeing initiatives and a reward package which recognises your contribution.

We can offer flexible working practices, community engagement and volunteer activities and, as part of our commitment to you, promote continuous Learning & Development.

In addition we also offer a growing range of discounts, rewards and savings.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role.

Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process.

Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
