The Role:
Warehouse Supervisor (NIGHTS)

My successful client, well known in their field for their products and expertise are currently seeking
a Warehouse Supervisor for their busy site based in Basildon, Essex. The successful
member of warehouse staff.


Job Requirements:


  • Supervise the activity of the warehouse team to ensure the day's tasks are achieved on time.
  • Ensure that all IRF's are picked, processed, invoiced and packaged correctly, on time.
  • Identify and resolve problems as they arise throughout the day and communicate with Admin and Sales to resolve problems and issues.
  • Ensure staff are always aware of what they are expected to do (and the reasons why).
  • Assist with the purchasing of packing materials and other consumables e.g. tools, gloves, saw blades, working to a preagreed budget.
  • Help to make improvements in efficiency in the warehouse, regarding effective use of warehouse space, racking, machinery, and equipment.
  • Assist and support the warehouse manager and assume responsibility in his absence.
  • Train warehouse personnel to follow established systems and procedures
  • Continually communicate these procedures to warehouse staff and regularly check to ensure they are being maintained.
  • Liaise with Administration to ensure physical stock, locations etc. ties up exactly with computer stock records.
  • Ensure warehouse teamwork within Service Centre's IS09002 procedures.
  • Regularly audit against ISO9002 procedures.
  • Talk to staff when they have made mistakes
  • Help carry out regular audits in line with Health & Safety Policy.
  • Regularly inspect the warehouse to ensure it is clean and tidy, that all stock is clearly labelled and safely stored.
  • Carry out regular visual inspection on all machinery and guards to check in safe working order
  • Loading vehicles for delivery in the order of the drops, ensuing that the vehicle is not overloaded or dangerously loaded.
  • Unloading delivery vehicles quickly and safely.
  • Thinks ahead, plans workload for others to undertake. Is able to accommodate changing priorities.
  • Operates warehouse systems that offload, store and distribute
material in the most efficient and cost-effective way.

  • Can invoice and enter locations and check batch information

The Package:


  • Salary up to £27,000 depending on experience


  • Monday

  • Friday 2:00am 10:00am (1 hour break)
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (Christmas shut down)
