About the role

  • Trafalgar Tickets is seeking a UI/UX Designer to drive the optimisation of the user experience and user interface designs of our various digital platforms. Working closely with our Product function, the role will be instrumental in the transition of the business into a digital and consumerfirst organisation with datadriven and usercentric strategies at its core. Reporting to the Product Manager, the UI/UX Designer will play a key part in delivering our omnichannel eCommerce vision, created to support our global growth ambitions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Fully embedded into the product delivery team and actively contributing to feature delivery
  • Bring the best practices of UX research and implement them together with the Product Managers and Engineering team
  • Analyse product requirements and communicate your design thinking through highquality UI/UX design solutions, wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes
  • Present alternatives and justify design decisions where necessary, both to customers and to delivery teams
  • Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data in making design decisions
  • Run workshops with key internal stakeholders; participate in user research, competitive product analysis and data analysis
  • As the first designer, you'll set the tone and direction for design; create design briefs, style guides, design processes, and visual targets that support an overall vision
  • Define and formalise our design standards, and grow and scale our design tools and processes so we keep rapidly shipping features

About you

  • 4+ years experience in product design as a UI/UX Designer
  • A proven track record designing customerfacing products like websites and apps, as demonstrated in your portfolio
  • Strong attention to craft and an ability to communicate visual and interaction recommendations with rapid mockups and prototypes that will end up directly in the hands of users
  • Pragmatic and agile approach to building out experiences
  • Skills to wrangle vague problems, propose innovative solutions, and execute them with a strong focus on metrics
  • Demonstrable experience doing user research in collaboration with Product Managers
  • Experience designing user tests and adapting to feedback to improve the usability
  • Experience creating UX fundamentals (User Personas, User Journeys, Jobs to be done)
  • Ability to connect designs with the business outcomes
  • Proficient with tools like Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe, and inVision
- eCommerce website experience is welcome but not critical
