    Family Practitioner: Delivering Safeguarding Focused Interventions

    About the Role

    We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our specialist substance misuse family safeguarding team in Derby. The successful candidate will have a professional qualification in health/social care, youth or community work or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Support and deliver substance misuse and safeguarding focused interventions with substance using parents through 1:1 support, group facilitation, and a multi-agency approach.
    • Liaise with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals to develop safety and risk management strategies.
    • Engage with clients in various service delivery settings and maintain excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office skills.

    Requirements

    • Professional qualification in health/social care, youth or community work (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).
    • Experience working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.
    • Flexible approach, commitment to confidentiality, and excellent communication skills.

    Working Arrangements

    • This is a permanent part-time role requiring 22.5 hours per week.
    • Working days can be negotiated as part of the interview process.
