BRC are working with a reputable Housing Association in the South West to recruit a Fire Safety Supervisor to ensure properties meet all fire safety legislations and building regulations.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the fire safety manager with fire safety management including assistance with the development of strategy and policies
  • Carry out fire risk assessments, fire safety inspections and audits
  • Carry out inspections across residential and commercial premises, workplaces and events
  • Investigating fire safety incidents, specifying and managing firerelated remedial works and to minimise the potential for reoccurrence
  • Develop and implement fire safety emergency plans and procedures for properties
  • Provide technical advice and write specifications on fire related remedial works, ensuring compliance with building regulations
  • Remain up to date with changes in legislation and codes of practice
  • Identify where fire safety management practices can be improved to assist in implementing solutions and improvements to improve fire safety performance
  • Manage and deliver improvement and remedial works identified through FRA's
  • Obtain quotations and provide effective contractor management ensuring value for money

Job Requirements:

  • Experience of carrying out fire risk assessments
  • Driver with access to a vehicle
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Building or Construction qualification
