Senior Buyer - Rail

East London

£150 - £200 per day PAYE


We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a busy rail company to become part of their procurement team working to support various business units.

The business units could include business operations, fleet, services, asset management and projects.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Support Procurement Managers, where necessary, with strategic procurement projects
  • Maintain contracts database on behalf of the team.
  • Run relevant reports required for procurement's business plan commitments to the DfT under our National Rail Contract
  • Ability to manage supplier review process / conduct due diligence (i.e., credit reports, accreditations); and
  • Ability to own / implement a supplier risk matrix capturing spend and contract renewals
