Responsibilities of the role:


  • Support insource from MITIE and create a Lloyds Banking Group Wide Environmental H&S register.
  • Create an effective Environmental Management System and integrate into our current H&S System.
  • Aim to build a ISO compliant system
  • Understanding for each line of applicable legislation the processes and controls LBG currently have in place clearly articulating gaps. Creating a riskbased delivery programme to close these are pace, working with Internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Create clear lines Roles and Accountabilities between the H&S team, Facilities Management, External Providers, and the internal Sustainability team, so accountability is clear to manage.
  • Support agreeing the appropriate data we should be tracking to ensure oversight and assurance. Utilise information to identify trends & take necessary action.
Establish an assurance framework including implementing & conduct Environmental audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting implementing improvements (internal audits, compliance audits, safety inspections etc)

  • Liaise with the Management Team to identify & provide advice on Environmental practices & and make associated commercial recommendations, that benefit the business now and in the future.
  • Create a training a development programme so current H&S Policy and Standards team and Assurance team can implement the new frameworks
  • Deep environmental legislation and standards SME
  • Experience in building Environmental management systems.
  • Strong communicator with welldeveloped interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, energetic and selfmotivated.
  • An implementer of processes and change
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives and ability to challenge
  • Persuasive & Assertive
  • A high level of analytical, methodology and time management skills
