As a registered supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework, Direct Medics Psychology Specialists are working with Psychology professionals throughout the UK & Ireland to help them find new and exciting opportunities here in Northern Ireland.


As such, we are now recruiting for Band 5 Associate Psychologists to work as part Core Acute Neuropsychology Services around the Belfast Trust.

The Associate Psychologist will deliver clinical and neuropsychological services to a wide range of adult ( > 18) clients who have neurological disorders that do not fall within the remit of other neuropsychological subspecialties and care pathways.

The Associate Psychologist will l assist qualified staff with the systematic provision of high quality specialist clinical and neuropsychological services to clients with neurological disorders and neurosurgical issues referred by Consultant Neurologists and Neurosurgeons to the Core Neuropsychology Service


The Associate Psychologist will also undertake a broad range of psychological assessment and assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client's problems.

The duration of this role is 6 months initially with the opportunity to extend.


Requirements:


  • Honours degree or other higher degree in psychology. Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
  • Minimum of 6 months experience accrued over the last 2 years as a Band 4 or 5 Assistant/Associate Psychologist in a paid or voluntary capacity.
  • Experience of administering and scoring neuropsychological tests eg: WISC
  • Experience of delivering whole or parts of clinical interventions with individuals.
  • Right to Work in the UK
