Murray Myers are very pleased to be assisting their client, a leading provider of material handling solutions based in Dudley in their recruitment of a Design Engineer.

The role involves completing layout drawings, enquiries (including liaising with suppliers and customers) and contract managing.
Their scope of supply includes pallet racking, cantilever racking, shelving, mezzanine floors and partitions.
This role would suit a design / estimating engineer with the ability to manage projects.

Main purpose of job
Support sales representatives / management to quote, win and manage profitable contracts for the company.

Main tasks of job

Raise enquiries and produce drawings / quotations including liaising with suppliers to obtain materials quotations
Book in purchase orders and ensure the correct information has been obtained by the sales representative to complete an installation drawing.
Remove all redundant info from manual file and save relevant up to date suppliers quotes in electronic folder, complete job cost analysis sheet, place purchase orders with relevant suppliers
Send updated drawings and obtain drawing approval from clients
Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and advise customers of dates
Forward completion certificate and RAMS to installers and clients
Add installation to the Outlook installation schedule and update when necessary
Update existing sales layout drawings with contract specific details including set out datums, build details etc.
Liaise with installers and clients reference any site issues
Sign off supplier invoices and update job analysis sheet ensuring all order values match our expectations
Pass job folder to accounts for invoicing on completion or part invoicing
Provide support across the company during holiday periods or due to high influx of orders/enquiries.
Follow agreed work instructions and associated forms (as detailed in ISO9001:2015) and specific weekly procedures as instructed.

Salary £25K (Graduate) - £35K DOE
