Production Engineer - Attractive - Permanent
**Defence and Aviation Systems - Leicestershire

A Production Engineer is required to join a market leading Innovative Defence Systems and Aviation Company.
The Production Engineer will report to the Principal Systems Engineer and will be the link between engineering and their composites manufacturing supply chain.
The Production Engineer will develop an inhouse capability to establish new or ongoing manufacturing capabilities for future business.
This will involve ensuring the completeness of the manufacturing dataset with mechanical design engineers, configuration control and QA.
The Production Engineer will ensure that manufacturing supply chain are working to the correct information and coordinating engineering queries and changes.
The Production Engineer is to provide firstresponse composites manufacturing expertise to both the design engineers and manufacturing technicians.
The Production Engineer will assist in establishing an incountry manufacturing capability with an existing composites manufacturer for the systems and company equipment.

Production Engineer - Key Responsibilities

Work with engineering to ensure completeness of manufacturing data.
Work with composites manufacturing supply to ensure adherence to manufacturing data.
Frontline support to engineering queries and changes from engineering and manufacturing.
Manage transfer of manufacturing equipment, tools, jigs etc. to incountry partners.
Develop a bestprinciples approach to establishing overseas incountry manufacturing.
Provide training to incountry manufacturing partners.
Support development of manufacturing capabilities of industrial partners.
Support initial phase of incountry manufacture by industrial partners.

Technical Skills and Experience for Production Engineer

Subject matter expertise in composites manufacturing techniques and processes.
Wide knowledge of the design/manufacturing interface, production and industrial engineering, QA, and environmental screening.
Knowledge of Configuration Management and Test Methods engineering.
An ability to interface well at all levels, with suppliers' partners and customers.
Experience in development/improvement of relevant production facilities and processes.
Communication skills to ensure clear and concise transfer of information.
Hold security clearance (or ability to obtain) to requisite levels, including ITAR clearances.
Willingness to travel (overseas and within UK).
