The Catch Up Academy is hiring


We are looking for experienced tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk and vulnerable learners who are eager to work via 1:1 in person tutoring in a creative, flexible, trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve the outlook of their educational journey.

Sessions will take place during school hours.


As an NTP Tutor you will have the following responsibilities: -

  • Deliver core curriculum tuition either online or facetoface in schools to children who need extra support to 'catch up'.
  • Assess and adapt your teaching style according to the student's current abilities.
  • Liaising with the class teachers to plan and prepare lessons and objectives that are tailored to individual child/children over the course of the tuition programme.
  • Be flexible and committed to the hours required.

Qualifications:


  • Qualified Teacher (QTS), degree or other relevant qualification/experience
  • Have a clear understanding of the UK curriculum
  • Confident behaviour management
  • Availability during regular school hours
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problemsolving abilities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle difficult student situations and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with parents and teachers

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
£22.00-£32.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday

  • Hillingdon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
