JOB PURPOSE:


We're recruiting for a highly analytical and data-driven
Assistant Merchandiser to join our newly-formed Outlet team at Burberry, focusing solely on our Made For Outlet (MFO) product globally.

Collaborating closely across the wider Merchandising team, you will be supporting in defining our Outlet strategy across our regions and will play a key part within the process of managing a product range.


This role as an Assistant Merchandiser is offered on a full time, permanent basis based at our iconic Horseferry Campus in Westminster London. We operate a hybrid working model (2/3 days per week in office), however some flexibility is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Preparing and analysing sales reports on style, fabric and colour selling levels to support design development, pricing structures and strategies
  • Owning and leading on the sample management process, from tracking to ordering to maintenance
  • Partnering with internal teams to understanding pricing, alignment with core currencies and ensuring all data is entered and kept updated in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
  • Assisting in the preparation of season range plans, sales plans/strategies, volume forecasting and global buying activities

PERSONAL PROFILE:


  • Previous merchandising experience, ideally from a luxury brand
  • Excel skills, including vLookups, Pivot Tables and formulas
  • Exceptional analytical skills and retail maths knowledge
  • Fluent (both verbal and written) in English
  • Confident working autonomously and independently
  • Organised and adaptable, even in a fastpaced and constantly evolving environment
  • Collaborative and an excellent communicator
  • Commercial awareness and instinct, along a passion for commerce, luxury product and the fashion industry
  • Experience with PLM systems/reporting would be advantageous
