Description

We currently have a portfolio of properties which require ongoing maintenance in order to ensure that accommodation is fit for purpose and secure for vulnerable tenants.

The majority of jobs will fall into the following categories/tasks:

  • Repairing broken fire doors
  • Changing thumb locks on doors
  • Assessing and fixing leaks from sinks, toilets and baths
  • Fixing broken light switches / electrical sockets
  • Plastering / skimming / repairing any holes
  • Fixing broken windows/handles
  • General appliance repair
  • Ensuring that fire, health & safety requirements are being met and tenant use has not jeopardised these
  • The fitting of furniture and other necessities e.g curtain rails, shower curtains etc

We require the maintenance supervisor to assess the jobs that come in daily and allocate them according to their urgency, providing a schedule of work for each team member that is both prioritised and also planned geographically.

You will need good team leader skills, as well as taking authority in ensuring that jobs are completed, whilst finding solutions for any difficulties.

Whilst this is largely a managerial and leadership role, we would need someone who would be willing to be hands on when the workload may be heavy for the team, or stepping in when required.

You would also need to do spot checks to ensure that tasks are being completed to a satisfactory standard.

If you feel this role is for you, please contact us with your CV.
