Description

The Assistant Estimator will be responsible for assisting the estimating team with the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects.

This will involve analysing project specifications, drawings, preparing and sending out subcontract enquiries and assisting with analysing quotations.


The Assistant Estimator role will involve:

  • Assist in the preparation of estimates and bids for construction projects
  • Review project specifications and drawings to understand project requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and ensure that they are accurate and complete
  • Manage project information, documentation, and subcontract enquiries.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, to gather information and ensure project requirements are met
  • Provide support to the Estimating Team in all aspects of the bidding process
  • Participate in postbid review meetings to analyse and learn from completed projects

Requirements:


  • 12 years of experience in construction estimating or related field
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
