Are you a Purchase Ledger Assistant looking for a new opportunity? Yolk Recruitment is proud to support a company in the FMCG industry their search for a talented Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their finance team.


This is what you'll be doing:

  • Manage the company's purchase ledger (Accounts Payable) from start to finish, including processing high levels of varying value invoices, inputting and reconciling goods received notes, and reconciling statements in a timely manner.
  • Handle all invoice queries and disputes in a professional and timely manner, building good relationships with suppliers and being the main point of contact for all payment issues while providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Process weekly payment runs, including sending remits, and run ad hoc reports and complete data analysis as and when required.
  • Provide cover and support for the Sales Ledger Assistant and Accounts Manager, and assist in the yearly Finance Audit.

The experience you'll bring to the team:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years' experience of working in a similar role is essential.
  • Ideally, you will have a good level of education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs with a pass in Mathematics and English.
  • Experience using Access Dimensions would be advantageous but not essential, as would strong MS Office (including Excel) skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to all levels of seniority, with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy of work.
