Job Summary:
Overworld AMP Ltd is an Independant Alternative Provision and a Creative Media and E-sports studio.
We working with neurodiverse young people aged 8-25, with a variety of special educational & sometimes care needs. Most have an Educational Health & Care Plan (EHCP).
We are actively seeking to expand our team of outstanding individuals fostering collaboration and creativity.
Do you have a passion and ability in Video Gaming?
Maybe experience in Graphic Design, and flair for Creative Media?
Rather than focusing on "fixing" neurodiverse young people, our Assisted Mentoring Programme builds on the inherent strengths of neurodiverse individuals, to provide support for the present and hope for the future.
Like everyone else, vulnerable youth need to see and know role models who are similar to themselves, who can understand how they think, and show them paths to successful, healthy futures.
Experience in working with young people is an advantage, however, enthusiasm is key.
day to day duties
Assist our young people by creating lesson plans and workflows for video gaming sessions.
Creating and recording gaming videos and images for visual showreels.
Editing gameplay and videos for online and internal use.
Host and organise tournaments and events for students.
Guide a young person through our courses, certification and qualifications.
Understand each young person's personality, skillset and challenges
To identify opportunities to support the young person and to record progress
Qualities you'll need:
Knowledge and Experience with Online and Offline Gaming.
Willingness to Work with children and young people.
Gaming and encouraging our young people's skills.
A strong understanding of Social Media, including YouTube, Insta, Tik-Tok and Discord
Knowledge of Office software, particularly Excel and IT competence is an asset
A sense of humour & patience
Good verbal and written communication
Creativity, Enthusiasm and Dedication
A full UK driving licence is an advantage
Working wage as directed by the Gov. UK
Job Type:
Zero hours contract
Pay:
£8.60-£11.44 per hour
Expected hours:
No more than 37.5 per week
