Claire's School Solutions are recruiting for a Key Stage 1 Special Educational Needs teaching assistant to work 1-to-1 with a year 1 pupil with SEN.

Therefore, SEN experience is required.

This Derby school, in the Mickleover/ Littleover area, received a'Good' rating in the most recent Ofsted report and was described as a 'friendly, welcoming school' with 'caring, approachable staff' and 'happy pupils'.

Working as part of the schools dynamic and creative teams, the appointed teaching assistant will focus on delivering intervention-based support and you will have knowledge of the curriculum and will be able to build solid relationships with the pupils.

You should have:

Previous experience working in an education environment.
Have an understanding of safeguarding.
A passion for working and supporting children's learning.
Previous UK experience working in a Primary School environment.
Strong communication skills that can be demonstrated by an ability to build relationships with other professionals.
The ability to support the class teacher in motivating the children to create a stimulating learning environment.
