JOB OBJECTIVE


Manage the weighbridge and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately, Completing the administration, and reporting on the inbound and outbound figures at the end of the day whilst adhering to the health and safety regulations of the site.

Complete administration works for the site and general administration as requested by the site management team.


KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To receive orders and manually process weighbridge transactions for inbound and outbound material ensuring they are correctly administered on the system and liaising with the onsite team via twoway radio to manage loading.
  • To receive orders and process weighbridge transactions for inbound waste and outbound aggregates ensuring they are correctly administered, and that all compliance documentation is in order and on file. This includes visual checks on the weighbridge or via the operational team processing the material to make sure the load meets the standards of the permit.
  • To manage site administration, filing and paperwork systems, including good housekeeping and maintaining a clean workstation and office environment.
  • To report on inbound and outbound activity at close of play each day use and experience of excel would be an advantage but not essential.
  • In the absence of a Manager being on site, to be the representative for Ocean receiving visitors to site and deal with general enquiries in an efficient and welcoming manner.
  • Issuing instructions to drivers/contractors of vehicles entering and leaving site as required to ensure Health & Safety and operational procedures are adhered to.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and the willingness to work outside of normal hours if required from time to time, this will include Saturdays.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

  • Previous weighbridge experience preferred using Infotech/Uniwin software, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills with a friendly manner
  • Ability to work under pressure, good problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong numerical skills and reporting accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
