What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Customer Liaison Officer to join the team at Galliford Try.


You will work specifically on our Mansfield Green Recovery Programme on the Severn Trent Water AMP 7 programme, where our role is to provide 100's of Sustainable Urban Drainage solutions across Mansfield Town within the community areas.


This programme is a new business stream for Galliford Try and is likely to grow substantially in the next Capital Framework Investment period.


You will be based with the programme team in Mansfield, principally at one of 2 hubs, the Pre-Construction Office in Mansfield Civic Centre, and the Construction Site Offices at Mansfield Waste Water Treatment Works, with the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects across the programme.


As Assistant Customer Liaison Officer, it will be your responsibility to support with the planning and implementation a co-ordinated programme of communications to strategic stakeholders, to support the efficient delivery of SUDs with Severn Trent Water, in line with Severn Trent's Customer and Community First Best Practice Guidelines.


Day-to-day, you will support the project delivery teams in aspects of customer liaison; assisting with monitoring and auditing of customer care processes and procedures and interfacing on customer care issues between Severn Trent, Galliford Try and the stakeholder.


You'll be involved with formulating communication strategies for the efficient delivery of projects including measuring objectives; measures of evaluation; tone; positioning; formulation of key messages; stakeholder identification and engagement and the most effective channels to use to achieve optimum impact.


You will provide support to the Construction and Site Managers by ensuring Pre Works forms, Bulletin Board forms, Customer Impact Assessments (CIAs) and Customer Management Plans (CMPs) are in place at project start up and reviewed before every Stage Gate.


You will play a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement, assisting the Customer Liaison Officer in maintaining KPI's, alongside producing Galliford Try corporate literature, presentations, internet updates, Yammer and newsletters as well as taking responsibility for organising, attending, and hosting events such as Public Open Evenings/ Presentations, School visits and volunteering activities.


It will be your role to work in liaison with Severn Trent's Project Community Relationship Advisors to provide a co-ordinated support to delivery teams; ensuring that the mutual reputations of both Galliford Try and Severn Trent are maintained effectively.


About You:


Alongside your proven experience in customer liaison and excellent people and influencing skills, we're seeking individuals with strong communication skills and well developed writing skills as well as being fully conversant in the use of standard software packages.


Residency in the East Midlands area is paramount, as this role will be very much hands-on out onsite frequently during the week.

Experience in a multi-site business, customer-facing role or Water Industry experience is desirable, but not essential.
