Description
Finance Design Authorities are responsible for delivering the IT solution designs for allNextGen ERP programs. These solutions need to be fit for purpose within the Finance
& Tax portfolio, have technical integrity, the right TCO (total cost of ownership)
through their lifecycle, and be a good fit with the NextGen ERP direction of Shell.
Job Description:
Finance Design Authority responsibilities include:
well designed for Finance, whilst conforming to Shell standards and reference
architecture. The Design Authority is accountable to the Product Manager for
the end-to-end design of a solution, including but not limited to:
- Being the point of call for all IT design aspects of an S/4
- Being able to address and integrate business processes, data
- Ensure solution design is documented using the relevant templates & tooling,
- Coach business analysts during design work
- Support Segment Architects as required
- Follow IT developments in the market and leverage this knowledge in
- Stay in touch with development of standards within Shell
- Proactively contribute to the development of the S/4 Product Management
This specific role will be accountable for the design of solutions in SAP Profitability &
Performance Management (PaPM), which is an advanced SAP modelling tool that will
support Shell business processes across the NextGen ERP landscape. Current planned
solutions include:
- Direct Tax Provisioning model
- Complex Allocations model
- Calculation of Group and Business KPI's
levels across the organization, spanning multiple process areas and ERP programs.
to be a champion for PaPM within Shell, working with all S/4 programs to assess their
modelling needs and provide appropriate solutions. To this end, a strong passion for
wanting to improve the business environment is a must.
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong SAP competence across Finance
- Critical thinking, problemsolving and analysis skills
- Strong belief in business process standardization and global consistency
- Good interactive skills in multicultural environment and ability to effectively
Typical Experience:
10+ years in IT with 5+ years of experience in
progressively larger and more complex ERP related projects;
- Typical Complexity: Large projects with multiple workstreams and
business and technical change;
- Degree educated with evidence of a commitment to lifelong learning; and
- SAP S/4 certification, ideally PMP and agile certification
