    Content Writer (Remote, Contract) – London


    Here at TAXYZ.CO.UK, we believe that understanding taxes is for everyone. We strive to help individuals and small businesses understand finances and taxes and make better decisions with their money by offering easy-to-understand information that saves them money and avoids unfortunate financial blunders.

    We have rapidly grown to be one of the platforms that UK taxpayers trust, and now we wish to expand our team by hiring a Freelance Content Writer to help us produce engaging content that is not only accurate but also easy to comprehend.

    Job Description


    You will research and create engaging and well-researched articles, along with having them optimized for SEO, like:

    • Tax tips & deductions(e.g., "10 Overlooked Tax Breaks for Freelancers")
    • Personal finance(eHow to Budget for Your Tax Bill")
    • HMRC updates & guides(e.g., "2025 Self-Assessment Changes Explained")
    • Case studies & success stories(e.g., "How a Landlord Saved £3,200 in Property Taxes")

    You'll:

    • Convert complex tax and financial content into clear, conversational, and engaging.
    • Confirm accuracy by verifying accuracy against HMRC guidelines and discussing with the editorial team.
    • Ensure articles are optimized for SEO, which includes using the provided keywords and briefs.
    • Use real-life examples, actionable tips, and relatable analogies.

    Who We're Looking For

    • Experience: Over 2 years of documented work in tax, finance, or business writing.
    • Research Skills: Ability to break down complex concepts such as HMRC rulings, tax legislation, and financial principles.
    • Knowledge of SEO: Understanding of keyword searching and on-page SEO (training provided).
    • Reliability: Ability to meet set deadlines and accept and implement changes.
    • Nice-to-Have: Qualifications or personal experience with UK tax/finance (e.g., freelancing, property investing).

    Bonus Points If You:

    • Have an exceptional ability to create valid arguments or compelling case studies (e.g., turning dry topics into compelling reads).
    • Also, comprehend affiliate marketing (some content earns revenue).
