Day Rate; £400 (Inside IR35)


My leading Finanacial Services Client is currently looking for a Risk Specialist to join their team based in London on a 12 month contract.


Key Skills and Responsibilities:
Â

Supporting Embedded Risk Culture and Enterprise Risk Management FrameworkÂ
Point of contact between Risk Management and the respective business line and for risk management related queries;Â
Ensure that any information and documentation produced about the business line risks and controls is accurate and meaningful;Â
Assist colleagues to understand how the risk process works, including the ERM Framework and associated methodologies and approaches deployed to manage risk;Â
Provide guidance and lead exercises around the risk management processes (Risk Assessment Methodology, Risk Library, Risk Treatment Actions, Control Testing, Risk Reporting);Â

Promote the Risk Culture by encouraging a broad range of views to be heard, challenging the business upward and downward and advocating a risk adjusted decision-making approach while participating to the decision making process.

Risk Identification & Assessment:

Assist in the risk identification, assessment, continuous monitoring and reporting processes. Support risk assessments as required, both routine and ad hoc;Â Â Â
Contribute to maintenance of the Risk and Control inventory, ensuring business process flows are routinely reviewed, updated and reflected in the consolidated inventory of risks and controlsÂ
Conduct formal reviews with control owners to assess the design effectiveness of the control environment;Â
Clear test results with control owners â€" interaction at team lead level.Â
Monitor follow-up actions in relation to previously identified control gaps.Â
Risk Response, Risk Monitoring, Risk Reporting and Incident ManagementÂ
Act as liaison for the business with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in the context of personal data.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Â

Ensure Personal Data Processing activities (including data inventory) are kept up to date where processing of personal data has changed.

Â

Test, assess and report on the effectiveness of GDPR controls, work with the departments to improve the controls where required.

Â


Must Have:

Minimum 5 years previousexperience of Risk in a Financial Services environment
Solid understanding of Enterprise Risk Framework
Solid experience of Risk Assessment Methodology, Risk Library, Risk Treatment Actions, Control Testing, Risk Reporting
Expeirence of GDPR Controls
