Duties and responsibilities include:
New patient and NHS health checks. Carry out baseline observations such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, heights and weights and record findings accurately. Phlebotomy. INR checks.
Support the practice nurse with the management of chronic disease clinics. ECG's. Act as a chaperone as required. Administer flu vaccinations and other vaccinations under PSD.
Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation. Management cold chain and be responsible for vaccination fridges. Populate nursing clinics as part of QOF recall procedure. Stock checks and ordering of medical supplies and consumables.
