Job Description:

An excellent opportunity to join Lockton's Insurance Broking Accounts function as Lead for the Bureau team.

This role will work to ensure the reconciliation of bureau signings with relevant transactions and release/collection of funds from bureau markets.


  • Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Oversee a small team responsible for the monitoring and releasing of bureau funds
  • Use MI & reporting to manage work priorities and to report issues and queries to the business
  • Analyse bureau failures and provide meaningful reporting of issues to the business
  • Work with the business to understand errors and failures and their root cause
  • Propose changes to process and systems to prevent errors/failures in the future
  • Provide education to the business to avoid process failures and performance
  • Attend regular review meetings with the business and minute actions
  • Attend meetings with underwriters to understand and discuss bureau performance issues as required
  • Use reporting to ensure the reconciliation of bureau signings and transactions
  • Comply with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Provide cover to other team members and ad hoc duties when requested by management.
  • Responsible for understanding, accepting and promoting the Lockton culture, and behaving in a manner consistent with the Lockton values

Qualification:


  • A good understanding of the general and legal principles applicable to insurance in particular FSA client money rules.
  • An understanding of the workings of the London bureaux
  • Ability to compile, analyse and interpret information and data to facilitate decision making
  • Keenness to understand problems, and able to propose appropriate solutions that add value to the process
  • Able to use knowledge tools and the knowledge and skills of those around them to develop understanding
  • Commitment to understand and adhere to Lockton's standards and procedures.
  • Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with the business, insurers and fellow associates.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills, including research and investigation.
  • Effective delegation as appropriate.
  • Excellent presentation skills in both preparation and execution.
  • Personal presence to interface with management of other businesses, insurers and other third party providers, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
