Institutional Credit Management (ICM) works closely with our Institutional Client Group (ICG) business partners to serve as a critical component of our First Line of defence (1LOD) for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management.

ICM Portfolio Management (PM) is responsible for monitoring the credit portfolio including Early Warning, portfolio quality, limit utilization, covenants, etc.


Job Purpose:


The ICM Portfolio Management Development Officer (Officer) will be part of Portfolio Management Development team (PMD), reporting to Head of PMD and working across several multi-disciplinary teams of varying seniority.

Officer will be responsible for multiple ICM PM's solutions project focusing on credit portfolio monitoring and management.

More specifically, Officer will play a key role in ideating a new solution or enhancing existing solutions to maximize the value added and meet internal and external business and risk needs.

Officer will also act as the main liaison between Business and Risk Stakeholders and Internal / External teams for solution ideation and Proof of Concept, and overseeing the implementation of the solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with internal and external business stakeholders.
  • Find and enrich Business and Risk Needs, define value added and success factors.
  • Lead discussion with SMEs to ideate the best solution maximizing the value added.
  • Assess the resource requirement and plan implementation.
  • Obtain buyin from relevant stakeholders and senior management at different stages.
  • Coordinate resources to build a prototype for Proof of Concept.
  • Provide oversight to the solution implementation.
  • Support ICM PM on internal projects and initiatives.

Expected Experience:

  • 510 years of work experience
  • 3 years of experience within Citi preferred
  • Experience running and managing complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and solve complex problems
  • Proven ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority
  • Demonstrated knowledge of credit risk, system, and data
  • Strong learning agility: seeks out resources and experience to continually build knowledge/skills; quickly and successfully applies learning to new situations
  • Working knowledge of SQL, BI tools (Tableau), advanced knowledge of Excel, expertise in Powerpoint, some programming experience with Python is desirable

Competencies:

  • Exceptional communication skills and a passion for adding value to Citi's business
  • Creative thinker to ideate solution for various complex problems
  • Citi internal system knowledge is highly preferable
  • Ambitious with a positive attitude and an ability to take initiative, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Project management skills with sound governance and control

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or higher education with emphasis on business, MBA preferred
  • Working experience in financial institutions
