    Description

    Driver Hire is seeking experienced Category C+E – Class 1 LGV Drivers to work with prominent clients across Huddersfield, Brighouse, Holmfirth, and Meltham. These temporary and ad-hoc bookings involve assisting clients with increased business demands due to holidays and sickness.

    Job Requirements

    We are looking for drivers with:

    • Trunking work, curtainsiders, flatbeds, and tail lift experience
    • The ability to perform vehicle and load checks before departing
    • A focus on ensuring safe transportation of vehicles and cargo to their destinations
    • Excellent customer service skills for liaison at the point of delivery
    • Flexibility to work nights, although day work options may be available if required

    Essential Qualifications

    To be considered for this role, you must:

    • Hold a valid Cat C+E (Class 1) UK driving license
    • Possess a current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
    • Be able to demonstrate your Right to Work in the UK
    • Have no more than 6 points on your driving license for minor traffic offenses

    Benefits

    About the Role

    This position involves a mix of driving duties and non-driving tasks such as loading and unloading the vehicle. Candidates should be comfortable with lifting and demonstrate safe loading practices.

    Experience is highly valued, but not essential. This role would suit someone with a flexible approach to work who enjoys variety.
