Stock Control Assistant - Fareham

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and colleagues on several various enquiries in a busy department.
  • Ensure that the customer always gets what they have ordered.
  • Review and raise purchase orders from MRP based stock reporting.
  • Recording of delivered goods into MRP system.
  • Scheduling of delivery bookings to Goods-In Departments of multiple warehouse locations.
  • Support to the other Stock Controllers during peak and adhoc demands including absence and holiday cover.
  • Support to provide resolution to outstanding orders and stock queries with various suppliers, customers, sales, and warehouse teams.
  • Seasonal and promotional stock forecasting methods in liaison with BDMs and National Account Managers
  • To work within the company's health and safety policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED

  • Good level of competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English at grade C or above
  • A background from either Planning and Resource based study or any quantitative field.
  • Minimum experience of One Year in a Stock Control environment in an FMCG distributionbased business.
  • Familiarity of various stock ordering methods and processes as well as an understanding of the concepts and theories of a controlled stock holding.
  • Understanding of MRP systems
  • Excellent communicational and interpersonal skills for all levels
  • High attention to detail, selfmotivated, positive, enthusiastic, and driven
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Calm, methodical approach to work and colleagues
  • Problem detector: preventing the problems before they occur.

  • Salary £20,000 £24,000 Dependent on Experience
