Cosmonauts is a London-based B2B Business Development Support & Corporate Events Company.

We run 11 own brand global conferences in LegalTech, IPTech, CleanTech, AgriTech and SpaceTech, with agendas focusing on innovation, technology and investments.


We create and execute events of all shapes and sizes, from bespoke half-day 25 person forums to 1,000 person 3 day conferences.

A few of our calendar events take place outside the UK, including the US, Europe, and Africa, while the bespoke events can take our team anywhere in the world.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Marketing lead to help lead the marketing efforts.

As the Marketing Lead, you will play a key role in building a robust, data-driven marketing strategy.

You will be in charge of driving lead generation, executing successful marketing campaigns, overseeing a small marketing team, optimising SEO strategies, collaborating with the design team on promotional materials, and analysing campaign data to measure success and make data-driven decisions.


Responsibilities:


Lead Generation and Marketing Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lead generation strategies to attract potential attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors to our B2B events.
  • Create and execute marketing plans that align with business objectives, ensuring effective promotion of each event and maximising attendance.
  • Identify and target key audience segments through various marketing channels to increase event participation and revenue.

Team Management and Collaboration:

  • Manage a team of four, providing guidance, support, and coaching to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging innovative marketing ideas and crossfunctional cooperation.
  • Work closely with the Production team to set clear objectives, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

SEO Strategy and Digital Marketing:

  • Drive SEO initiatives to improve organic search visibility and website traffic, optimising event pages and content for relevant keywords.
  • Monitor and analyse website traffic, user behaviour, and other digital marketing metrics to optimise campaign performance.

Collaboration with Design Team:

  • Manage the design team of 3 to develop compelling and visually appealing promotional materials, ensuring consistency with the brand identity.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track and analyse marketing campaign performance using relevant tools and platforms, generating regular reports to measure ROI and identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilise datadriven insights to make informed decisions and optimise our marketing efforts.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, adjusting marketing strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience (35 years) in B2B marketing with a strong track record of lead generation and successful marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to attend conferences, trade shows, and networking events across the world (US, Europe, Asia & Africa) to represent the company and execute event marketing.
  • Previous experience in managing a marketing team is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and using analytics tools to derive actionable insights.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design aesthetics and branding.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to identify marketing opportunities and address challenges.
  • Familiarity with event management platforms and CRM systems is a plus.
