Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity to serve your community and contribute to keeping Belfast clean and vibrant?, Belfast City Council, is seeking dedicated individuals to join their City and Neighbourhood Services team as General Operatives.

About the Role:

As a General Operative, you will be responsible for assisting in waste collection, maintaining public spaces, and carrying out essential gardening tasks.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and attractiveness of streets, parks, and other communal areas across Belfast.

Your Duties:

Waste Collection: Collect and dispose of domestic, commercial, and priority waste in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure proper segregation of materials for recycling.
Cleansing: Undertake street cleansing, graffiti removal, and other tasks to enhance the appearance of public areas. Report any issues or hazards encountered during duties.
Gardening: Assist in planting, grass cutting, hedge trimming, and other horticultural activities to maintain the beauty of parks and green spaces.

Your Profile:

Previous experience in outdoor cleaning, waste collection, or gardening is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with members of the public.
Awareness of health and safety practices and willingness to adhere to regulations.

Your Benefits:
- £12.38 per hour.

Pension Contribution.

Additional Information:

Full time, Temporary.
08:0016:00, Monday-Friday.
Dundonald, East Belfast Location.
