We are thrilled to announce that Optimise by Recruitment is partnering with the global leader in waste management for an exciting recruitment opportunity.

Currently, we are assisting them in their search for a Lead Production Coordinator based in Worksop


As a Lead Production Coordinator, you will be responsible but limited to:


Health & Safety:


  • Understand and promote awareness of health and safety (H&S) standards.
  • Investigate accidents or H&S concerns and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the designated area.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of accidents and near misses.
  • Lead a culture of continual improvement in the working environment and the health, safety, and welfare of team members.
  • Oversee monthly inspections and submit reports to management.

Quality & Continuous Improvement:


  • Assist in communicating and promoting best practice tools and techniques.
  • Monitor and audit quality in the area, taking ownership of issues and supporting investigations.
  • Embed quality in production processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and document improvements using Kaizen Trackers.

Culture, Attitude & Leadership:


  • Lead and promote a positive culture where H&S, quality, and cost are prioritised.
  • Supervise the team with a critical eye, aiming to exceed customer expectations.
  • Treat team members with empathy and compassion.
  • Promote and embody company values in daily operations.
  • Mentor the team for optimal employee outcomes.

People Co-ordination:


  • Ensure team members understand their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Allocate work fairly and encourage a positive attitude.
  • Promote and practice product quality and continuous improvement.
  • Prioritise and ensure the implementation of health and safety measures.
  • Conduct annual performance development reviews (PDRs) and returntowork interviews.

Production & Resource Co-ordination:


  • Provide support in addressing team problems that may disrupt output, quality, or add cost.
  • Report issues to the Workshop Manager promptly.
  • Optimise labour resources to achieve production output and product mix goals.
  • Ensure jobs are completed within specified times and monitor takt times.
  • Support the Engineering department in product development and issue resolution.

Supervision:


  • Cover overtime shifts on a rota basis.
  • Oversee other areas to cover for holidays and absences.

Salary:
Up to £18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
