Senior Finance Manager

The Role:_

Main responsibilities_

A key member of the leadership team providing challenge, financial support and insights
Leading and managing the Finance team and being responsible for their objectives and development
Ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of:
Client weekly and monthly results:
Maintain tight cost control for the clients
Maintain tight financial control, including fully understanding the contractual and commercial arrangements with each client
Creation, review and presentation of internal and client budgets and forecasts
Monthly cashflow forecasts
Ensuring sales invoices are raised accurately and on time
Maintain tight control of balance sheets on a monthly basis
Maintain tight control of supplier payments

Managing / supervisor

New Business and Account Development
Be the finance lead for all new business and account development, including account retention and strategic growth of division.
Preparation and maintenance of uptodate SOPs

Experience

Transport / logistics / distribution or supply chain experience from a logistics environment
Strong commercial and operational experience with a proven background of delivery
Ability to provide credible support to nonfinance areas of the business
Ability to operate at all levels within an organisation from boardroom to shop floor
Strong team player but also happy to work independently on own initiative
Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
Excellent Excel skills
Excellent Google Sheet skills
Line Manager responsibilities with a proven track record of developing team
