As the Head of Paid Search/SEM you'll be accountable for the largest and most established Marketing team at MVF with an annual spend in excess of £50m per annum and with teams in the UK, Europe and America.

What you'll be doing:


  • Managing a team of Paid Marketing managers as well as leading the wider search team
  • Establishing a coaching and development mindset in your team, and leading by example where appropriate
  • Defining and delivering the Functional Roadmap (developing and evolving worldclass capability)
  • Hiring against the resource plan, and building a worldclass team
  • Allocating resource based on overall commercial priorities (including periodic reallocations)
  • Ensuring that highquality Functional Roadmap OKRs, as well as Personal Development Goals, are defined and set for your marketing team.
  • Running Growth Conversations and setting personal development goals with senior marketing professionals
  • Managing performance risks and improvement, including identifying risks, initiating Performance Conversations/PIPs and managing performance improvement processes for senior marketing professionals

About you/Requirements for the role:


  • Extensive end to end experience in managing all aspects of a direct response campaign (creative, targeting, tracking, data, optimisation)
  • Proven ability to build and manage a high performing team.
  • A strong leader who consistently motivates the team to go above and beyond set targets.
  • Collaborative, confident and persuasive communication style; building rapport & strong relationships and demonstrating high emotional intelligence
  • Track record of success in achieving targets
  • Organised, diligent and strong on process
  • Resilient; consistently looks for solutions and opportunities, particularly when faced with a challenge
  • A real passion and drive for MVF, putting the business' best interests first
