Job overview:
As a highly experienced and specialist clinical psychologist, the post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the AMH Inpatient and Crisis service, which offers assessment and intervention for children and adolescents presenting mental health difficulties.
They will have the specialist professional skills, knowledge and experience required to carry a caseload of clients, offering complex psychological formulations and expert consultancy and advice to patients, families and professionals and teams.
Main duties of the job:
They will undertake service audit and evaluation, propose and implement service development changes within the area served and in keeping with the wider plans and national legislation.
They will work to develop and manage a service that acts as a specialist resource that is well integrated with other care pathways and related services.
The post holder will manage, clinically supervise and work collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues within the service, to offer effective, evidence-based specialist service provision, ensuring that services are high quality and based on best clinical and professional practice.
The post holder will work directly with both the AMH Inpatient and Crisis teams and commissioning partners to maximise the overall accessibility, performance and efficiency of the Psychological Professions with regard to nationally agreed standards of care and treatment.
