Reed are working with an award-winning repeat client who specialises in logistics services.

Due to a growth with new business, my client is looking to expand the Operations team and are looking for an experienced Export Operations Clerk to start in
January 2023,
with experience working within the sea freight export sector. My client offers comprehensive global supply chain solutions with the aim to reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction, reduce inventory investments andcustomise product delivery.

What you'll be doing:

Export freight operations and customs clearances
Handling sea (70%), air (20%) and road (10%) export shipments
Liaising with customers, shipping lines, airlines, handling agents, transports, Customs & overseas offices
Raising files, documents and invoices
Arrange collections

What you'll need to succeed:

At least 12 years handson sea freight forwarding experience (
required)
Good working knowledge of logistics, shipping and transportation
Export Customs entry experience
Basic IT skills (experience using Sequoia systems would be beneficial)
Must be a quick learner and be willing to learn all areas of the operation
Must be a team player and can cooperate well with other team members
Professional customer service skills & telephone manner
Professional communicator (fluent English: reading, writing, speaking)
Commercial awareness, understanding of basic profit/loss
