Description

We have an opportunity for a receptionist to join our Private Patient team in the Hal Gray Unit.

As well as welcoming and greeting patients to the department, you will be required to enter details on Lorenzo/iCRIS, book patients into clinics, make follow up appointments, cash up clinics and run the outpatient clinics.

You will advise consultants of patients arrival and ensuring patients receive excellent customer care.

Attention to detail is a must when recording details accurately on databases as well as ensuring patient contact sheets are kept up to date.

Record accurately all appointment/diagnostic tests onto Lorenzo, making sure all information is entered as soon as possible.
Record all patient details on the department database setting up of contact sheets and embedding documentation using Microsoft office excel and word
Complete all filing electronically by scanning paperwork to patient files.
Call private insurance companies with medical information to obtain authorisation of medical cover for patient bookings.
Provide phone advice on quotes for patient / private secretary enquiries where the pathway coordinators are not available.
Undertake and participate in ad hoc duties to improve services in the Hal Gray Unit.
Have the ability to work flexibly to cover annual leave and sickness if and when required.
Effectively communicate and liaise between all disciplines of staff throughout the Trust and external agencies.
