Purpose of Job
The Sales Executive will identify and secure short and long-term rental for the truck and trailer Limited fleet.

In addition, the Sales Executive will work in conjunction with the Contract Hire Manager (CHM) and be jointly responsible for the achievementof the sales and profit results of the branches within the designated sales area.

Finally, the Sales Executive will work closely with senior management to set and achieve growth objectives.


Key Features

  • Maintain a high level of truck and trailer utilisation and to achieve sales revenue target, by professionally selling Company products and services while offering the highest level of service and responsibility which reflects both brand and industry perception
  • Agree and achieve an annual activity plan in conjunction with the CHM and NSM detailing the actions required to achieve quarterly/annual targets
  • Develop a joint quarterly action plan with the CHM, identifying sales opportunities with actions, dates and responsibilities as well as developing and monitoring a solid sales pipeline across the whole product portfolio to exceed quarterly/annual salesperformance for each branch within the designated sales area
  • Secure orders (realistically exceeding sixmonths plus of term) for the Company's products and services to be operated by the assigned branches, working closely with the Head Office Fleet and Contracts departments
  • Develop and monitor a solid sales pipeline across the whole product portfolio to exceed quarterly/annual sales performance for each branch within the designated sales area
  • Ensure that specific or new conquest sales targets are chieved within time limits to contribute to the overall sales achievement
  • Ensure that the Company CRM system, currently SID, is always kept up to date. This is a primary function of the Sales Executive role to maintain relevance of database, adding potential future opportunities to develop a healthy longterm sales pipelinethat exceeds revenue expectations
  • Complete all administration accurately and effectively within given deadlines, ensuring accurate and constant usage of the CRM system
  • The Sales Executive is responsible for a geographical area that covers a set number of branches
  • Build and maintain good relationships with branch staff and customers and inform them of changes and developments in the Company's products and services
  • Credit check and cold call on companies who run their own vehicles, selling the benefits of usership over ownership
  • Responsible to plan own visits and agendas and completing joint customer visits with the branch Branch Sales Manager when required to visit or prospect key potential customers
  • Support all marketing campaigns to drive additional footfall and revenue opportunities, supporting any offsite marketing events as and when required
  • Maintain an awareness of local and national trends and ensure appropriate actions are taken to meet changing circumstances to ensure that the Company maintain its overall market leading position
