Site Technical Manager - Selsey site
Natures Way Foods began in 1994, when the Langmead brothers set up a small, bagged salad operation. Their big idea was to combine the freshest lettuce with the latest food manufacturing technology. Since then, we've grown by expanding our customer base andmoving into new fresh, convenient categories and product areas.
Our culture is inclusive, and our people are diverse spanning 37 different languages. We operate four manufacturing facilities capable of producing over 326m units per year. Building on previous success, this year is set to be another exceptional year for ourorganisation.

We have an opportunity to hire a Site Technical Manager on a permanent basis.

Job purpose
To manage the day-to-day food safety of all products produced by the site. To provide point of contact for the customer (external & Internal) and to ensure audit-ready standards every day. To ensure that the NWF compliance standard and customer code of practicerequirements are maintained and implemented appropriately.
Key Accountabilities
Delivery of customer QIPs
Delivery of customer KPIs
Delivery of business Technical and Quality KPIs
Maintenance and improvement of external audit results
Management and improvement of QMS, HACCP and site standards
Performance of Site Technical Team
Customer Technical relationship
Safe and Compliant manufacturing
Investigation management of technical and hygiene issues
Building robust technical relationship with the Operations team on site and across the group.

Principle Responsibilities
Ensure their teams have a safe place to work through Risk Assessment, training, inspections & performance reviews

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

RTE, Fresh Produce, FMCG, Food to Go
Retail and Food Service Technical Standards
Proven experience of working with both Retail and Food Service
Team Leadership / People Management
Project Management
Working knowledge of Microbiology and analysis


Qualifications:

Food Science degree (or equivalent)
Food Safety Level 4
HACCP Level 4
Auditing
