Senior Service Now Developer

As a Barclays Senior Service Now Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the HR Transformation arena.

Within this role, you will have the opportunity to transform the colleague experience across the whole colleague journey from onboarding to alumni.

As part of a wider team of ServiceNow developers, you will lead and collaborate on development initiatives, lead architecture development, and form best practices as part of a strategic roadmap across the HR ServiceNow deployment.

What will you be doing?

  • Being responsible providing leadership and oversight to other developers
  • Ensuring team alignment to design principles and the ServiceNow roadmap as part of the overarching governance of the platform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to build solutions, demonstrate functionality and iterate future development based on feedback
  • Being responsible to proactively drive technical delivery of specific projects into ServiceNow as an individual contributor
  • Driving continuous improvement identifying opportunities and providing solutions to ensure ServiceNow delivers the highest levels of security and performance
  • Leading on vendor initiatives where required to accelerate time to release
  • Taking ownership as an individual contributor throughout project lifecycles

What we're looking for:


  • Can engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation from all relevant business areas
  • Demonstrable experience building solutions on the ServiceNow platform
  • Working knowledge of supporting infrastructure i.e. Azure AD, Microsoft 36
  • Experience working in Agile delivery methodologies

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience working with ServiceNow Virtual Agent
  • Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE backend technologies
