Akton Resourcing are looking for a Procurement Officer to join the Vale of Glamorgan Council on an initial 4-Month contract with a view to extend.

Job Overview:

To work with all Service Areas across the Council to provide procurement guidance and support in order to maximise and secure on-going savings and efficiencies through robust procurement practices.

To provide professional advice and support to all service areasduring the procurement process ensuring that all current UK legislation and Council rules and regulations are adhered to.

To support and assist in the delivery of projects and contracts as a member of the Corporate Procurement team. To establish a good rapportand effective working relationships with officers and external suppliers.

Experience/Knowledge
Effective use of the Council's e-procurement portal and P2P system where required. (Knowledge of Sell2Wales and Oracle iProc or Fusion would be desirable but training can be provided.)
