Job Title:

Quality Inspector


Job Brief:


NFF Precision are seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect components manufactured in-house and externally to check for conformity to customer drawings, specifications and manufacturing data.

This Role is well suited to an experienced Quality Inspector or someone who is looking to progress their career from a manufacturing environment.

You will need to have experience using inspection equipment to confirm the compliance of parts.

You will be part of the team who oversees the calibration of all equipment and work with local suppliers to ensure this is calibrated in line with regulatory and internal standards.

It would be advantageous to have experience in programming and operating a CMM (Mitutoyo crysta Apex) however this is not essential.

You will be assisting with related quality matters and highlight non-compliance as required. You will be an advocate for Quality within the business and proactively promote the importance of quality. You will work apart of the Quality team and together ensure no non-compliance is dispatched to customers.

Ideally you will have a background in either CNC Machining or Fabrication / Welding, although this is not critical, you will need to understand engineering operations and different engineering disciplines.


Essential Attributes:


  • Relevant Engineering Qualifications
  • An understanding of BS EN9100 principles
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • The ability to analyse the quality and performance of a product
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Proficient in the reading of customer drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Organised and thorough.
  • Good problemsolving abilities
  • Able to work as a member of a team and independently.
  • Proactive and selfmotivated with the desire to achieve.

Desirable Attributes:


  • Previous experience working within the Aerospace & Defence industries.
  • Experience being involved in Non-Conformance Reports and Root Cause Analysis
  • Proven experience as a quality inspector in the aerospace and defence sector
  • Understanding of business improvement techniques
  • A Full clean UK driving licence.

NFF Precisions Working hours are
hrs and 16.30 hrs Monday to Thursday

07.30 hrs to 12.30 hrs on Fridays.
