Education & Development:

Take an active role on the research and audit of local, regional and national initiatives with regards to the establishment and development of virtual wards
Establish robust methodologies in order to monitor and evaluate implementations of service change. Ensure the use of validated assessment tools and review of intervention outcomes, in order to ensure that a high-quality evidence-based service is delivered
Work with colleagues and key stakeholders to identify the skills required for virtual ward staff. Develop learning and development resources, competencies and performance indicators
Demonstrate evidence of clinical knowledge and involvement in national clinical networks
Ensure that the virtual ward service is on every agenda regards workforce, recruitment and retention Continued on Job Description Communication & Attributes:
This is a leadership role within the organisation supporting strategic service redesign implementation, which requires the post holder to have knowledge and experience in change management
Will be required to interpret and implement relevant national policies, procedures and guidelines, advising on their affect and implications
Develop and maintain professional communications and networks within the organisation and at local and national level
Ensure communication mechanisms and processes are in place to negotiate and consult with a range of stakeholders, which will include independent organisations, regulatory bodies, service users, senior leaders, Board members in order to achieve demonstrable and measurable project / programme outcomes
Contribute to an open, proactive and collaborative culture, supported by effective multiple communication systems and processes that promote awareness and contribute to high levels of staff satisfaction Continued on Job Description
