Aston Business School is triple accredited (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA). In the 2021 REF almost four-fifths of Aston University's research is either 'world leading' or 'internationally excellent.

The Work and Organisation Department hosts three main clusters - HRM, Organisational Behaviour/Work Psychology and Social Responsibility and Sustainability. We are also developing a new research unit focused on health work and workplaces.


You should possess a good first degree, a doctorate in a relevant discipline, be establishing a research profile with a growing body of internationally excellent publications in HRM and OB/Work Psychology-related journals, as well as a developing international network.

You must have experience in securing and leading funding from different sources which deliver impact, and in undertaking effective doctoral research supervision.

You should have an effective and innovative teaching practice at all levels, and at least Fellowship of the HEA (or equivalent).

Chartered membership of the CIPD/BPS, industry experience and possession of entrepreneurial skills are highly desirable. For OB/Work Psychologists, being a Chartered Occupational Psychologist is especially welcome, or a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) as a minimum.

The post-holders will report to the Head of Department.
