Salary Range:
£36,495 - £45,619 per annum, dependant on experience

This is a full time, permanent opportunity, based in Bradford with hybrid working


We have an exciting opportunity for a
Market Development Manager to join our industry-leading Wholesale Market Services Team within the Customer Experience function.

The Market Development Manager role plays an integral part in supporting the whole team to deliver its purpose of ensuring Yorkshire is a great place for non-household customers to do business.

What are we looking for?
Our
Market Development Manager will;

  • Ensure the water market works effectively for business customers in Yorkshire
  • Act as Yorkshire Water's Market engagement lead which provides the opportunity to participate in national water sector forums and build a strong network
  • Take the lead in coordinating and responding to market change consultations ensuring the needs of Yorkshire Water and its customers are represented clearly and accurately
  • Impact assess and work with colleagues to establish and support implementation projects
  • Manage change effectively
  • Own an established change framework and ensure stakeholders are kept up to date with progress which may impact delivery
  • Act as the project management lead for business planning to ensure projects are prioritised accordingly to ensure delivery of strategic objectives including our 'People Plan'
  • Lead on monitoring and reporting to ensure projects are managed adequately and corrective action taken as and when required
  • Liaise between change practitioners across the wider business to support effective change management and internal networking

Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential:

Our
Market Development Manager will have a great track record of delivering change successfully within a varied business environment


You will also:

  • Have excellent written and interpersonal skills and be comfortable communicating at all levels
  • Have experience of, or understanding of project management
  • Experience of analysing and understanding detailed technical requirements
  • Be able to organise self and others effectively
  • Possess a strong customer service focus.

Desirable:


  • Previous experience of working in a regulated sector including utilities is preferable, although full training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of the water industry
  • A project management qualification is desirable but not essential
