We are looking for a passionate and experienced Part Time Nursery Practitioner to join the team at a friendly Primary school just outside of Carlisle.

You will be responsible for providing a positive, safe and stimulating environment for the pupils in our nursery.

You will be expected to support the planning high quality learning experiences that meet the individual needs of each child and should have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework.

As a Teaching Assistant working in Carlisle, your duties may include:

Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
Lead small group or individual instruction as assigned by the teacher.
Provide additional support to students who need extra help.
Help supervise students in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and other areas.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
Assist with record keeping and other administrative tasks.
Prepare teaching materials and classroom displays.
Assist with setting up and tidying up the classroom each day.
Supervise students on field trips and other schoolsponsored activities.
Provide individual attention to students who need extra help

The requirements for this role are:

GCSE English & Maths
Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in childcare
Experience working with children
Experience in EYFS
Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
Possess strong organizational, communication and problemsolving skills
Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
