Eastlight Community Homes are looking for a
Trainee Plumber to deliver an outstanding service to our residents, playing a front-line role in the continued development of their homes, ensuring they are safe and maintained to a high standard by carrying out planned or responsive works.


In this role, you will:


  • Gain a deep understanding of plumbing to include fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, installation & projects within a planned and responsive works environment.
  • Learn to install and repair water systems in our residential properties, while developing positive professional relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors, and all other stakeholders.

On completion of training, you will have:

  • Earned a Level 3 Qualification in Plumbing and Heating (course duration
  • 4 years).
  • Gained a fantastic knowledge and understanding of the Plumbing trade.
  • Learned of health and safety legislation, including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH).
  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

This role will be based in our Marks Tey facility and will require regular travel within the Essex County. A full UK driving licence (or working towards) with access to own vehicle, or the ability to travel to various locations is essential.**At Eastlight we

  • National Minimum Wage during the training period, increasing to
    £32,326 upon completion of the training.
  • Permanent, Full Time Contract

  • Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum
