Who You'll Be Working for:
Our client is a well-established and fast expanding bank.


What You'll be Doing Each Day:

  • Support and cover for transaction flow and data entry (for non STP traffic) for international and domestic payments ability to understand MT1xx, MT2xx, etc message formats.
  • Monitoring of daily queue management to review/process; incoming messages that are to formatted correctly, payments that have been held due to insufficient funds and forward value payments.
  • To provide customer support and deal with enquiries related to clearing services, status of payments, client statements, account status and nonreceipt of funds.
  • Case Handling including dealing with funds that have been returned by agent banks, funds that have been held by our agent banks for AML reasons and messages to request further information from our clients to facilitate held payments.
  • To support the production of daily, weekly and monthly management information that details the status of payments, number of transactions and total value, the STP rate and the daily total of the Participant balances.
  • Processing of monthly charges against the Participant accounts relating to bank charges and overdraft usage.

Other:


  • As required, establish good working protocols with the Head Office teams, as appropriate, to complete relevant tasks;
  • Identify, report and escalate material risk events, including conduct risk events and conflicts of interest, or losses to the Head of Department.

Conduct Risk:


  • Responsibility for the daytoday identification, ownership and management of conduct risk and controls through the continuing development and implementation of the Bank's conduct risk framework processes. This includes the internal control processes designedto identify, assess and manage conduct risk, the execution of activities as intended and the identification, reporting and escalation/remediation of inadequate processes and control breaks. On a proactive basis, liaise with and seek guidance from the SecondLine of Defence for policy and process queries.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Mandarin and English fluent both written and spoken
  • Experience gained within international payments, critical
  • Experience gained within central cash clearing, critical
  • Understanding of the wider processes intraday credit monitoring and case handling.
  • Hands on experience of operational processes, critical
  • Must be competent on MS Office 2007 and SWIFT
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
