Description
Newstaff Employment Services are recruiting for a Moulding Senior Setter/Operator to join a progressive manufacturing company.

This is a Temp to Perm role.


You will be supporting the manufacturing function in the Moulding production facility with the safe set up and running of the production plant and associated equipment to produce good quality parts on time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safe and efficient tool changes
  • Help to run moulding machines when needed
  • Set up the moulding process to run good parts as to costed cycle times
  • Manage and support the product packaging and preparation to despatch
  • Maintain and support all production paperwork
  • Monitor and control the production schedule in the absence of the Supervisor
  • Minor tool repairs including insert changes

General Tasks:

  • Assist in the introduction of modern production methods
  • Ensure safe working practices are in use and that working environments conform to statutory regulations
  • Ensure satisfactory levels of housekeeping
  • Monitor and control materials supplies to machines
  • Produce acceptable component quota levels
  • Identify and request any personal training requirements
  • Identify the need for new / replacement capital equipment
  • Record and manage scrap levels
  • Record and manage machine performance to cost cycle
  • Support the ISO9001 initiative and ISO14001 Environmental initiatives
  • Identify and pursue cost saving initiatives
  • Adopt the continuous improvement policy
  • Support a professional and productive environment
  • Follow safety and housekeeping rules of the stores and factory floor
Monday to Friday - Shift system


Pay Rate:
£10.75 per hour
