£40,000 to £50,000 (full time equivalent) - Salary negotiable based on qualifications/ experience.

About us:


This highly successful and growing Interior Design Agency that specialises in Residential & Commercial design (£5-6M turnover pa) is looking for a highly organised and confident Management Accountant to provide full financial support to their dynamic designteam.

Ideally you have Strong Financial Management skills, as alongside Studio Management, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day and monthly finances of the company.

This role directly supports the Founder & Creative Director in driving the businessforward by providing reliable financial insight. The role has ownership for the processing of all day to day financial transactions, including payments, invoicing and receipts.

The role includes responsibility for cash book, sales ledger, purchase ledger,nominal ledger, VAT and ensuring accurate management reporting is provided to the management team.

You will be key in supporting the business by providing project liaison with procurement to a creative and busy team, optimising the budgets assigned to projects.

We are looking for an individual with strong communication, organizational skills and a professional manner.

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of commercial finance experience in a similar field and ideally be AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualified.

This is an excellentopportunity with room to develop within a lovely studio environment that is at a key time of growth, with a large project due to start.


About the role:


  • Undertake all the daytoday financial operations within the company


  • Transactions

  • Online banking, manage project payments to suppliers, supervision of transactional/procurement process project payment programmes and tracking, credit control with regard to customer receipts
  • Accounting system manage all the company's financial accounting, nominal ledger and reporting/reconciling on Xero accounting software
  • Prepare monthly management reporting includes Profit & Loss report and cashflow forecasts
  • Coordinate with Finance Director to facilitate the quarterly VAT returns and Year End accounts
  • Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modelling for senior company leadership
  • Report to Finance Director for all finance issues, and day to day report to Studio Management for operational activities
  • Potential for hours to grow over time as the business expands

About you:


  • Qualified accountant (ideally)
  • AAT / ACCA / CIMA
  • Strong management accounting / accounts preparation experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • High level of accounting software and excel skills in essential, ideally including a good working knowledge of Xero accounting software
  • Ideally Project account experience
  • Ideally experience of using Esti PC
  • Organisational skills and acute attention to detail are essential
  • Reliable and punctual
