Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the portfolio management of Surety business in UK & Ireland as assigned.
  • Process Surety business through data entry activities, producing error free work through strong attentiontodetail.

This includes but is not limited to:

prepare and execute new bonds, riders, enter rates and code new business, bond issuance, renewals, cancellations, endorsements, and reinstatements.


  • Provide underwriting support to Surety Underwriting team (Underwriters, Managers, etc) and market leading service to internal and external customers, including brokers and clients within a defined territory. Assists with customer enquiries and questions, as well as the input of new bond transactions.
  • Retrieve and update information using various systems as appropriate, including billing, work flow and database systems. Prepare and verify documents for accuracy prior to entering into systems.
  • Proactive management of receivables and assistance with billing, premium and commission discrepancies upon request.
  • Management and maintenance of surety bank accounts including cash allocations, reconciliations and preparation of bank documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with internal and external customers.
  • Review and reconciles internal system reports as directed by Manager
  • Perform technical support within the office and assist in the resolution of problems as appropriate.
  • Process, coordinate and/or validate data and documents to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide administrative and general office/clerical support as needed. May participate on key special projects as requested, and perform additional assignments as instructed by manager.
**Skills and Experience: - Relevant insurance or banking experience or related Underwriting Assistant experience with an emphasis in supporting complex transaction workflow.

  • Learns quickly and demonstrates an open attitude when facing new problems, processes, or procedures. Takes advantage of diverse sources by proactively seeking information to solve problems.
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment as well as independently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize own work flow and complete assignments in a highvolume work environment producing accurate, errorfree work in order to accomplish the most important individual and business objectives.
  • Strong PC skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
